Welcome to Merchiston Tennis Club, Edinburgh. We are a local friendly club, and we share the facilities with Merchiston Bowling Club - the combined club (Merchiston Tennis & Bowling Club) runs a busy Clubhouse with Bar, Large-screen TV and changing rooms/toilets/showers etc.
As we have three blaes (red shale) courts which must be rested over the winter, play is only possible between mid-April and early-October. There are no floodlights. The Clubhouse is open year-round (though open less in the winter).
The club has a 'Standard Life' section comprising members from that local major employer, and they can use the courts as a normal member.
The Club is aiming to attract more members, especially family members with children, to build on its coaching and other attractions. We are very hands-on with participation from members and their families crucial to helping events, especially social ones, being a success. We're looking forward to the new season. Membership is open for applications from April for that season.
